My love for classy shoes and bags is of common knowledge among my friends and most of the time, it’s often hard to resist the temptation once you find yourself a style that you really want.
Charles & Keith has often been my saviour during times when my craving/need for a new pair of shoes or bags gets a bit too much as their products are always easy on the pocket without sacrificing style and durability!
I’ve been a fan of theirs back in Manila when I was still working as a journalist, wearing their shoes to coverages and stuffing everything that I need for a long work day in their bags. Now, here in Malaysia as a Diplomat’s wife, I often wear Charles & Keith shoes and use their bags to diplomatic receptions and events. I often get compliments for them as well!
Oh, and did I mention that their stuff lasts for years? Yay for value for money, right?
Here in KL, one of my favourite Charles & Keith stores is located in MidValley Megamall. A couple of months ago, they boarded up the shop to do some renovations and I’m happy to report to you guys that it has opened up again – this time, bigger and better.
The new Charles & Keith concept store is brighter and a lot more modern with focus drawn to the items on display, using dedicated lighting and sleek design. There’s this feeling of effortless luxury once you enter the store. 😉
Every inch of the store seems to be a work of art with pieces from the latest collection, as well as last season’s, carefully grouped and arranged on shelves and distinct flatlays throughout the store.
Aside from shoes and bags, Charles & Keith is also known for its accessories. Sunglasses, belts, etc.
The well-attended opening last September 23 had a ton of surprises for the attendees. From a GIF-making photo booth, down to a DJ, and even a claw machine which you can keep playing until you win something. Each box inside the game has a piece of paper with a photo of your gift! Guess what I got? 😉
Visiting the store in MidValley will treat shoe and bag lovers to the brand’s latest collection from the original Charles & Keith line as well as the Charles & Keith Collection range which includes experimental yet still wearable designs.
For Winter 2015, the original Charles & Keith line will feature functional essentials that sport cool and muted shades. Well, I’m totally on board with this as most of you might know by now since I’m all about classic pieces that transcend trends and can easily be paired with anything. 😉
Love this style forever and I’d love to have it in every colour there is. I actually have this exact shoe (above) and I couldn’t stop wearing it! 😉
During the opening, I was faced with a dilemma. Should I get this stiletto in black with burgundy or just plain black all the way? I even had to send the husband photos to help me decide. 😉
In the end, I went home with the all-black pair. But a part of me is really itching to go back for the burgundy-accented pair. Eeep! Must. Exercise. Control! 😉
But if I ever want need a new pair of shoes or a bag in the future, you’ll know which store I’m going for. 😉
