Another quick review! đ By now you probably know how much moisturiser means to my daily life. If you didn’t know it yet prior to reading that sentence â well, now you do. I confess my love for good moisturisers time and time again. I never get tired of trying out new stuff, raving about or hating on it afterwards then going through the cycle again. That’s just how it is. đ So for this entry, I’m going to rave about First Aid Beauty’s Ultra Repair Cream. After going through my Ziaja Natural Argan Oil Protective Face Cream, I knew that my next moisturiser would have really big shoes to fill. That’s how much I loved that stuff. (It’s not available in KL so there’s no chance of repurchasing it ASAP) I did my research on which brands of moisturisers other girls are going gaga for and I decided to try out First Aid Beauty after seeing so many good reviews about it online. So far, it’s been one of my best purchases. At first, I was a bit thrown off by the price â RM128 (Php1552.61, USD35.09, EUR30.82) â when I made my way to Sephora to get it. Eeep! Pretty pricey, in my opinion. (Yep, cheapskate right here.) But when I read that the small tub I was holding had 170g of cream inside it, I decided to go through with the purchase. Moisturises usually come in 50-100g tubs and are usually just a couple of RM10s cheaper. Technically, I should be getting more bang for my buck. And I like products like that. So at that point, I knew this one is gonna be worth a try. One thing I really like about this product is the texture â it’s a whipped kind of creamy making it easy to massage on your face yet it’s still very light. In fact, after only minutes of applying it to my face, I can feel that it’s already been absorbed as the face doesn’t feel sticky nor does it look shiny. Come to think of it, the product is actually non-greasy even right after application. It’s also unscented. I love using it on my face and my neck at night and even in the morning when I’m not going out. Another thing to love: You can also use it for your body. In case you have any rough or dry patches of skin, you can just rub it there and it instantly gets hydrated. I tried it on my shoulders that were sunburnt after a long day of walking around in Malacca and it worked wonders. Despite not having a cooling effect that most after-sun moisturisers have, it was still very soothing to my skin. So. I’m gonna have to keep this short as I’m at the airport waiting for my flight. đ Pros:
- Light, whipped-creamy texture makes it easy to apply and leaves your skin feeling great.
- It doesn’t have parabens, sulfates, petroleum, and phthalates â it’s really really gentle to your skin.
- Immediate results
- It’s major ingredient is oatmeal and we all know you can never go wrong with that. đ
- Really safe for sensitive skin. (I made my husband try it!)
Cons:
- A bit expensive
