Beauty + Hair: Drying Natural Curls without Losing Volume

Back with a new hair video! So excited to share this with you guys. 🙂 A lot of my friends use to see me often out and about with wet hair because drying takes over three hours! Who has time to wait around at home, right?

I’m sharing my quick dry process to you guys today. It takes 15 minutes tops and I’m still able to retain volume throughout the day.

The Philips Thermoprotect Ionic Hair Dryer is available in Malaysia. Check out the Philips Malaysia website for more information.

More later.

Love,

Carol

Beauty + Makeup: Lazy Girl’s Summer Makeup Routine (No Brushes!)

I love having summer all-year round and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. However, I have to admit that once summer reaches its peak here in the tropics, it can be a tad too much for me. I find myself wanting to crawl inside an igloo.

Today, I’ll be sharing with you guys my lazy makeup routine that’s so easy, you won’t even need brushes. Product list can be found after the jump. Enjoy!

Beauty: Youngblood Cosmetics – Mineral Cosmetics for Flawless Looking Skin

Youngblood, Youngblood Cosmetics, Youngblood Makeup, Beauty, Mineral, Mineral Makeup, Healthy Makeup, Review,

As far as mineral makeup goes, I wasn’t interested in it. Ever. I was given a brand to try once back when I was working for TV and it made me look washed out on camera. Since then, I shunned the idea of going back to it.

Just a couple of years later, I find myself writing about beauty most of the time and the call of mineral makeup is back and a lot harder to resist. Maybe it was time to give it another go?

Enter Youngblood, a makeup line created by aesthetician Pauline Youngblood who has made a career for herself in Hollywood. She often encountered clients with severely traumatised skin (damaged by aesthetic treatments or harsh products) that took months to go back to normal.

Variety.

For people that are going through a healing process for their skin, there are very little makeup options available. So Pauline began working with chemists to come up with a line of cosmetics that are gentle enough even for the most sensitive skin types.

Beauty + Video: Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette, Eye Makeup for Glasses

Hello my loves! Today’s feature will be on the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette. My sister who lives in Denmark sent me this as a gift recently and obviously, I was way too thrilled when I got it.

I just want to share this quick review of the palette before moving on to a video tutorial at the end of this post on how I use this palette to make my eyes look bigger – especially when I’m wearing my glasses. 🙂 I’m nearsighted, just in case you’re wondering and lenses for my eyes, often make them look smaller.

This is my first Too Faced Chocolate palette. I know – how in the world was I able to resist the first two, right? I guess it’s because I’m more of a lipstick collector and I felt that I always have more than enough eye shadows.

Of course, after going down the beauty blogging rabbit hole, that way of thinking has now gone out the window and I find myself struggling harder to resist palettes.

Oh, and before I move on into the review, I just wanted to share with you guys that you can now get your favourite Too Faced Products via Sephora online! 😉 It’s great to have an online option, especially if you’re having a lazy day and you just want to do your shopping on your couch while you have a face mask on.

Packaging

I love the sturdy, metal case of this palette. It’s great for traveling since I know the eyeshadows inside will be perfectly safe. The case is a soft pink and the lettering comes in gold and white and most of the shadows come in heart-shaped pans. Girly? Definitely.

Normally, I would go for classic or sleek packaging for makeup (except Sailor Moon makeup!) and girly-looking products usually have me thinking that they’re too kiddish for my taste but this palette has so many other great qualities that actually helped me overlook the cutesy-ness of it all.

Beauty + Video: Strobing vs Contouring

Right before my husband and I left for Manila, my dear friend Samia and I shot another video together! This time, we took on strobing and contouring!

Check out which one loves which! And hopefully, this video may also be helpful to people trying to decide which of the two may be best for them for a certain makeup look!

Enjoy! <3

More later!

Love,

Carol
