Plzen in Czechia (Czech Republic) may sound more like a destination just for beer connoisseurs and enthusiasts. That, however, is a major simplification of what the city has to offer. In today’s video, I compiled a list of the best things to see and do in Plzen – a city that actually has something for everyone. From learning more about its history, trying out the beer, and even getting your kids to be more interested in science and technology, there’s really quite a lot to do.
Just an hour away from Prague, it makes for the perfect side trip. If you’ve got a long weekend, however, it’s definitely worth staying a few days longer for some fun and relaxation too.
If you’re coming from Berlin, I highly recommend taking the train. It’s a lot more relaxing and the scenery is just wonderful. It also takes roughly around the same time as the total of waiting at the airport, flying to Prague, then getting on a taxi or train to Plzen from Prague airport.
I hope you enjoy the video and your trip to Plzen! Do like the video, share, and subscribe. I’m feeling rather inspired to do more video these days! 🙂

*I was a guest of Visit Plzen – the city’s tourism office. However, my opinions on the places we visited are all mine.
It’s the underground museum that I like the most about the place. It’s not only about the history of brewery but the thrill of exploring historical place at the same time historical.
